Hi Everyone! I wanted to take some time to write a short Blog entry that will show you the benefits of maintaining consistency between your Blog Site and Store Site! One of the great features of our Store and Blog Sites are their seamless integration that allows you to present a continuous company brand.
While reinforcing your brand identity, the systems allow your web visitors to have a singular, cohesive experience while visiting your sites without the possibility of getting them confused by jumping between different platforms that are trying to look similar. We are going to take a look at how the PhotoBiz Blog Sites integrate with the PhotoBiz Store Sites and how to take advantage of this awesome feature.

When designing our Blog Sites, we received literally hundreds of comments and feedback messages from all of our clients, all containing valuable feedback that was critical to our design process for the Blog Sites. We also studied the numerous Blog Sites currently available for photographers, and we tried our best to create a product that contained all the great functionality as well as usability of the other Blog solutions available. If you have the PhotoBiz Store Sites, and then purchase the PhotoBiz Blog Sites, you will notice that the PhotoBiz Blog Sites are integrated in the same layout and design as the PhotoBiz Store. We are going to be taking a look at Sarahmica Photography‘s Blog and Store site as an example for this article.
As you can see above, this is what a user would land on when visiting Sarah’s Blog. They can easily view all of her Blog articles, but also seamlessly make the switch to view her online Store if they choose. This is going to keep the consistency in your branding, and also allow your clients to stay on the same window when viewing your Store or Blog site. Many times it’s easy to get lost in multiple browser windows on a website, so we wanted to make the user experience as friendly as possible for your clients!
Let’s say you shot an incredible wedding. You’ve edited your photos, and made a blog post with 15 of your favorite shots from the wedding. You post your Blog article online, as well as their event in your Store site. Now, your clients can view their awesome Blog post, get super excited about their amazing photos and then go directly to your Store and order products and prints! In the above photo, you can see how Sarah has taken advantage of our Access Pages feature, which allows you password protect pages, events, and even your entire Store site! Access codes are also available in the Blog Sites, so you can password protect individual Blog entries, or entire categories if you wish.
As you can see above, your clients are now ready to view some of your amazing products and make a purchase on your Store! The integration between these two platforms is great for keeping brand consistency and management for you. If you were to use a custom background image in the Store/Blog platform, it would be carried between the two platforms, so there is no need to re-upload the image.
A simple damask background added to the Store/Blog layout keeps consistency in the look of both platforms.
We love to see our clients finished products, so please post a link to your Store or Blog at the bottom of this article! I hope this Blog was informative and shows you the great benefits of keeping your Store and Blog’s design consistent, and why we designed these products to integrate so well together! I would also like to give a big shout-out to Sarahmica Photography for allowing us to use her incredible photography and site in this article!
